Job Description

Aureus has the largest fleet of Hot Oilers in the Grande Prairie Region and we are currently hiring a Swamper with relevant pumping experience to work with Hot Oilers. The Hot Oiler Swamper’s main responsibilities are assisting with the daily operations of hot oilers and associated equipment.Your job duties & responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
  • Safety focus (Safe Work Practices, Safe Operating Procedures) is your top priority; core safety skills training will be provided
  • Drive, rig-in/rig-out, operate, and maintain class 3 Hot Oiler truck and related equipment
  • Ensure paperwork is current including, but not limited to: maintenance schedules, log books, pre and post trip vehicle inspections
  • Adhere to and enforce company safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance with HSE legislation and DOT regulations
  • Monitor conditions and maintenance of all equipment with a focus on safety and environment
  • Safe operation of trucks and equipment
Job Requirements:Experience & Training
  • Driving or industry related experience an asset
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. (No GDL, Class 3 License an asset)
  • Must be able to provide a clean 5-year driver’s abstract
  • Must maintain all required safety tickets; including, but not limited to: First Aid, H2S Alive, WHIMIS, Site Orientations.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be physically fit and able to pass our pre-employment screening
  • Physical requirements include bending, safely lifting up to 20 kgs, working in a noisy and sometimes dusty environment
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work safely wearing a respirator and/or Self-contained Breathing Apparatus
  • Willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather
Skills & Expectations
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
  • No relocation assistance provided; must reside in the Grande Prairie Region or be able to get yourself to the region for work
  • Travel to remote regions on winter roads with potential to work alone
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays
  • Willing to comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Willing to comply with Aureus’ drug & alcohol-free and harassment-free work environment
  • Willing to work in a diverse and team-oriented environment
