Interacts on a regular basis with refinery operators, lab techs, boiler operator, other operators in the crush area, supervisors and/or other personnel.Operators in this position are responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the crush and some of the refinery loading areas as required. They will ensure that the equipment is fully operational and in good repair.Operators in this position will use multiple hand tools and industrial vehicles to assist with job duties.Job Type: Full TimePrincipal Accountabilities:Operate all equipment associated with railcar loading and unloading, railcar washing (refinery), railcar drying, truck loading and unloading, and the wastewater system.Monitor and adjust operation using computerized and controlled systems to meet department requirementsEnter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervisionUnderstand and adhere to Provincial and Federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety. Follow all Cargill safety rules and regulations.Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work. Enter work orders utilizing maintenance computer program.Gather samples from loaded tank cars or trucks with each load/unloadGather samples from the meal, pellets and or crude oil cars loaded.Troubleshoot minor problems as requiredMaintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental and food safety impacts of the operationCompletes master sanitation schedule checklists and tasksAttend various mandatory safety and department meetingsCommunicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.Assist other crush, refinery and plant personnel as needed, and will perform any other duty as requested by the refinery team.Required Qualifications:Must be legally eligible to work in CanadaMust be 18 years or olderAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lift up to 50lbs regularly, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to work in elevated areasAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to understand and communicate in English (Verbal/Written)High School diploma or equivalentBasic computer skillsAbility to work holidays, nights, weekends, overtime or different shifts.Preferred Qualifications:Loader experienceBackground in crop inputs retail businessPrevious experience working within an agricultural, industrial, or retail environmentKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to operate machinery and/or industrial equipmentForklift experienceKnowledge of SAPKnowledge of Inventory SystemsThis Full-Time position is located in Clavet, SK; however please expect receiving calls from a 204-area code in case you are considered.
