She or he intervenes in crisis situations or deemed problematic and communicates with parents or meets with them when a situation is deemed problematic. She or he stimulates and interacts with children with special needs and ensures integration into the group. The incumbent of the position equips facilitators to adequately respond to a minor incident. In addition, she or he develops intervention plans and communicates daily with parents and management about the different interventions performed.QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and LicensesCollege diploma or certificate in Youth/Family Studies, Social Services, Psychoeducation or a related field AND some years of experience in Youth programs or a related fieldExperienceIn facilitation, teaching and group training of programs for youth with special needsIn children’s group facilitationIn intervening with youth who may be experiencing personal difficultiesIn applying policies, procedures, and regulationsIn using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsingCompetencies, Skills and AbilitiesClient focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTSFrench Essential / Bilingual an assetBENEFITS AVAILABLEWork Life Balance: Vacation pay.Retirement Planning: Group Savings Plans.Learning and Development: Free second language training.START DATECasual position until June 24th, then Full Time position for the Summer campINCLUSION AND ACCOMMODATIONCFMWS is committed to providing an inclusive, equitable and accessible environment, where all employees feel valued, respected and supported.
