The Central Saskatchewan Military Family Resource Centre (CSMFRC) Child Care Centre, located on the CFB Detachment in Dundurn SK is currently accepting resumes to fill a Cook position.The successful applicants will be responsible for, but not limited to:-Creating and providing nutritious and appealing meals and snacks for a forty-two licensed space Childcare facility with age range of 6 weeks to 12 years of age.-Submitting requirements for food, kitchenware, and related supply orders-Ensuring kitchen and work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitized manner-Assist with covering co-workers lunch breaks and the occasional programming time-Support staff with housekeeping dutiesThe above position requires positive role modeling that works towards fostering staff, family, and community involvement.Credential Requirements-Current Safe Food Handling Certificate, those willing to obtain by start date will be considered.-Clear Criminal record and Vulnerable Sector check.-Valid Drivers License.-Current First Aid and CPR Certificate an asset.Personal and Professional Qualifications-Be genuine, dependable, and resourceful.-Pose effective communication skills; both verbally and written.-Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.-Ability to plan menus and appreciated portion sizes.-Knowledge of Canadian Food Guide and Health Regulations.-Willingness to continue training through workshops, classes etc.-Work in a team setting.Applicants that have Early Childhood Education Level I, II, or III are eligible to receive additional $3/hr to $5/hr top up to starting wages through the current government wage enhancement grant.Applicants that are interested in completing classes in Early Childhood Development are eligible for paid study time and tuition reimbursement.
