Job Description

Position Title: Distribution Sales ManagerReports to: Director of Business DevelopmentLocation: Edmonton, AlbertaBBE is seeking a Distribution Sales Manager to oversee sales growth and manage accounts across the NWT, Nunavut and the Yukon. BBE holds a number of distribution agreements including Mobil Lubricants, Cypher Environmental dust control products and other key suppliers to the north. Our clients include municipal and territorial governments, commercial and industrial operations including large mining operations in the north. This role will be guided by:BBE’s VisionSupply Chain Partner, Networking the World.BBE’s MissionTo successfully move more freight, more efficiently, than yesterday by land, sea, ice, and air.BBE’s Core ValuesIntegrity, Safety, Adaptability, Team, and ServiceDuties and responsibilities:

  • Follow company health & safety standards and company policies and procedures
  • Establishes new accounts through management of sales pipeline, prospecting and monitoring of tender opportunities; electronic, public or private posting.
  • Providing potential customers and existing customers with value-based product and service solutions
  • Achieving sales targets for yourself and supporting the team in doing the same.
  • Ensures healthy sales plan consisting of growth opportunities and existing account management strategies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education in commerce, logistics or relevant technical disciplines
  • 5 years professional sales experience, working with industrial and commercial accounts
  • Professional communication, presentation skills and project management experience
  • Basic understanding of construction/mining equipment, including maintenance and reliability strategies
  • Familiarity with northern Canada and working with indigenous groups would be considered an asset.

  • Must be a people person, outgoing and enjoy interacting with clients and associates
  • Strong leadership, organizational skills combined with initiative and personal drive to succeed.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to meet and exceed customers needs and recommend solutions
  • Periodic business travel required
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems
