Job Description

Zagimē Anishinabēk is a progressive First Nations government, located around 22 KM Northeast of Grenfell Town in Saskatchewan.SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Lands and Infrastructure, the Community Development Coordinator is responsible for identifying, initiating, and taking a lead role in activities that reflect the Zagimē Anishinabēk Comprehensive Community Based Planning objectives.DUTIES:

  • Implementation of the community development initiatives aimed at building long term capacity and fostering the integration of ZagimÄ“ AnishinabÄ“ks’ Comprehensive Community Based Planning objectives.
  • Liaise and work in collaboration with existing on-reserve development corporations
  • Project management functions.
  • Planning, developing, implementing, and marketing on-reserve development opportunities.
  • Working with governments, funding agencies, local industry, and local businesses to develop and implement initiatives to enhance community development.
  • Liaise and communicate plans, actions, and issues with membership
  • Managing and building relationships with multiple teams.
  • Supervisory responsibilities of staff in current and future community development initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS: · Degree in community development, business, commerce, or related discipline and a minimum of three years experience in a related field; or diploma in administration and minimum of eight years of direct work experience in a related field.· Project Management Certification is an asset.· Excellent organizational and prioritization skills· Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment· Excellent verbal, written and social media communication skills.· Proficiency in word, excel, power-point and other computer software· Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.· Experience working with First Nations including knowledge of Indigenous rights, history, culture, and current socioeconomic issues.· A valid Driver’s License is required and must be maintained throughout employment, and access to a dependable vehicle.· Must submit a Pre-employment Drug screening, and Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of employment.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentFlexible Language Requirement:
