Our industry recognition is a testament to the family values we share with our parent company, McCain Foods Limited.About the RolePension & Benefits AdministratorFull-time, 6 month contractHartland, NBUnder the direction of the Manager, Pension & Benefits, the Benefits Administrator performs varied administrative and specialized tasks in support of the day-to-day administration of all employee, owner-operator and drivers benefit programs, assists with various benefit and pension related issues in accordance with established policies and regulations, while maintaining a very high degree of confidentiality.This position requires a motivated professional to support the team and business by fostering a working environment that promotes positive communication, empowerment, development, and support. As a key member of the HR team, you will create the same positive working relationships with our client groups.Job Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, owner-operators and drivers regarding their benefits and processing of their benefits, to include answering inquiries, performing research, and provide support on benefit plan documents
  • Work collaboratively with third party administrators (TPA’s) to ensure reasonable responses to concerns and accuracy in the application of the policy and challenge when required.
  • Manage accuracy of data in the benefits computer systems, and maintaining benefits related forms and documents.
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties, such as generating and distributing letters, spreadsheets, forms and faxes.
  • Maintain filing system
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in human resources, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of administrative experience. Experience in pension and benefit administration is an asset.
  • Stronginterpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Completes work with a high attention to detail maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Deal effectively and courteously with employees, owner-operators, drivers and the general public
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office, Oracle and benefit provider systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is an asset
