Now, we’re moving ahead with a new chapter as we look to create two new leading energy companies who will build on strengths of AGL today and play an equally important but different role in Australia’s energy transition.With our eyes on the future, we’re investing in new ideas, partnerships and infrastructure – renewing and expanding our portfolio of sources and products to make them more sustainable, reliable and affordable for our customers.As we evolve, we’re looking for people with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and talents to build their careers with us.By being part of our story, you will play an important role in helping Australia transition to a cleaner and more connected tomorrow.About the RoleReporting to the Works Team Leader, the Electrical Fitter role based in our Hydro Head Office in Mount Beauty will be responsible for Electrical maintenance activities associated with hydro generation plant, high voltage switch gear and hydraulic infrastructure.A key focus of this role is to perform observations, monitoring and maintenance of all generation plant and systems across AGL’s hydro sites.What you’ll be doing:Performing routine and breakdown maintenance as well as inspection and monitoring of assetsInstalling and commissioning plant as required, along with supporting our service providers/contractors to ensure all works are conducted to an appropriate standard and in a safe mannerReceiving on the job training and mentoring of employees to ensure high skill levels and safety standards are maintainedApplying a structured maintenance approach when preparing and performing works, ensuring accurate records and reporting using our computer-based maintenance system (SAP)Receiving Access Authorities as requested and acting as Recipient In Charge (RIC) when requiredAbout YouWhat you’ll bring to the table:An A Grade Electrical License (Electrical Safety Blue Book would be desirable)An understanding of the operation and maintenance of Hydro power station assets to ensure cost effective efficient, reliable and safe operationExperience in the maintenance of power generation assets, high voltage electrical assets and infrastructure will be well regardedA willingness to work at remote sites as required and participate in availability duties if requested to do so (roster, on call after hours)Be self-motivated and able to work as part of a small teamWe’d love to see your application, submitted by this date:Midnight Sunday 12th September 2021.Reach out to Shane Ambrosini if you have any questions via: sambrosini@agl.com.au .Inclusion at AGLAt AGL, all employees are encouraged to be themselves and to bring their whole selves to work every day.
