Now, we’re moving ahead with a new chapter as we look to create two new leading energy companies who will build on strengths of AGL today and play an equally important but different role in Australia’s energy transition.With our eyes on the future, we’re investing in new ideas, partnerships and infrastructure – renewing and expanding our portfolio of sources and products to make them more sustainable, reliable and affordable for our customers.As we evolve, we’re looking for people with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and talents to build their careers with us.By being part of our story, you will play an important role in helping Australia transition to a cleaner and more connected tomorrow.About the RoleSituated at our Mt Beauty office in the Victorian Alpine Region, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager and People Leader for our Hydro Generation Assets.As part of our Gas & Renewables senior leadership team, this role reports directly to the Head of Hydro and will be accountable for the effective management of internal maintenance resource teams and external routine maintenance contract resources.Success in this role will come from your drive and leadership strength, underpinned by a sound technical background with a focus on heavy industrial maintenance principles and the works management process in regard to asset management and protection strategies.What you’ll be doing:Delivering optimised plant availability through effective maintenance practices and planned maintenance activities in accordance with asset strategies and management plansLeading and influencing maintenance leaders and their teams in the improved safety, productivity and cost outcomes for maintenance activitiesEnsuring externally sourced maintenance resources are fit for purpose and effectively deployedDeveloping maintenance strategies in consultation with the engineering team, conducting major surveys and peak season preparation work to plan and budgetDeveloping and implementation a comprehensive maintenance program that provides an optimal balance between O&M costs, capacity constraints and required asset role / lifeProviding management of site-based teams and contractors and displaying active leadership in regards to safety, the works management process and a risk based approach to plant maintenance and optimisationSupporting the planning and scheduling team to ensure accurate recording of maintenance transactionsAbout YouWhat you’ll bring to the table:Relevant qualifications in engineering, management or relevant trade or maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environmentDemonstrated leadership strength in a large-scale generation or heavy industrial plant including safe operations, maintenance, and asset managementA strong alignment with the works management process, maintenance principles and the financial management of large engineering and industrial worksExperience in providing strategic leadership, coupled with a strong business acumen and a commitment to protecting the safety of our people and the environmentWe’d love to see your application, submitted by this date:Midnight Sunday 19th September 2021Reach out to us if you have any questions:Shane Ambrosini – Recruitment Partner: sambrosini@agl.com.auInclusion at AGLAt AGL, all employees are encouraged to be themselves and to bring their whole selves to work every day.
