To achieve it, we’re bringing together people with unique stories, perspectives, backgrounds and talent – and we need yours too!About the RoleReporting to the Projects Support Manager, the Project Controller is responsible for providing project controls and program management support to our Project Owners delivering CAPEX projects for AGL Australia.This role will see you responsible for providing close support for the delivery of projects that includes project controls, procurement, program reporting, budgeting, cost management and program management for the portfolio of projects being delivered.In this collaborative role you will work with Engineering, Operations, Finance and Maintenance in supporting project objectives.This role is based in Mt Beauty with some travel to our Melbourne office and other operational sites required.What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure appropriate project controls, including project cost and schedule requirements, are in place for CAPEX projects
  • Conduct project reviews out in the field and provide update and advice to the management team on the performance of projects
  • Create and maintain process documents to describe how AGL-A Operations conducts projects and project controls
  • Support the overall portfolio of projects including planning, reporting and development of business cases
  • Identifying, scheduling and coordinating resources to support project execution
  • Support the development of annual CAPEX budgets
  • Provide contract management and procurement support to nominated projects managers that require external contractors
About YouYou will be a strong communicator with an eye for detail, curious and organised.Whilst its desirable that you hold tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Management or a Technical discipline it is essential that you have experience in project coordination and control and this could come from a variety industries.What you’ll bring to the table:
  • Experience in contract development and negotiation
  • Experience in supply chain management and procurement
  • Experience in project costing, scheduling, monthly cost reporting and estimating
  • Certification from the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and Chartered status is desirable
  • It would be beneficial if you have experience in working with AS/NZ/ISO documents including: PMBOK (ISO21500 Project Management Principles), AS/NZ/ISO 31000 Risk Management and AS/NZ/ISO10006 Quality Management Systems – Projects
