PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITYHR & Accounting StudentCompany Name: Forest Protection LimitedAddress: Fredericton (Lincoln), New BrunswickForest Protection Limited (FPL) is seeking emerging talent for the placement position of HR & Accounting Student. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the HR & Accounting Student provides support to the HR Generalist and the accounting team at FPL. This is a split position, ideal for a student who is interested in exploring both the human resources and accounting aspects of business management.The HR & Accounting Student is responsible for the following key tasks:HR Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in the full cycle recruitment and offboarding process, including the assimilation of data into reports
  • Coordinate HR related training and development programs
  • Participate in social committee activities and coordinate HR related activities, including staff well-being and engagement initiatives
  • HRIS and personnel file management
  • Assist as needed on special projects, assignments, and other ad hoc HR duties as assigned
Accounting Responsibilities
  • Support the finance department in accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Participate in the month end closing process
  • Prepare reports and reconcile accounts
  • Assist as needed on special projects, assignments, and ad hoc requests

  • Either a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Must be a currently enrolled student in a post-secondary institution program
  • The student must not be an international student with a work permit
  • The student must not be an immediate family member of the employer
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to communicate clearly in French
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTSConditions of employment are as below:
  • Being legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Successful Criminal Record Check
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Have a modern mobile phone capable of making phone calls and sending/receiving SMS and email
