EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYMANAGER OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENTCompany Name: Forest Protection LimitedAddress: Fredericton (Lincoln), New BrunswickEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeForest Protection Limited is seeking motivated leader for a new position as Manager of Project Development (MPD) in Fredericton. Reporting to the Director of Ground Operations, the incumbent will be responsible to oversee growth opportunities for both existing and new business markets. This position includes identifying and developing new service offerings while improving existing processes within the Aerial Treatment line of business.The Manager of Project Development is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Develop departmental operations plan.
  • Develop stakeholder matrix and ensure regular stakeholder communications.
  • Develop external communications strategy.
  • Develop and maintain field operations Standard Operation Procedures.
  • Lead community outreach.
  • Lead research team communications.
  • Support risk identification and mitigation.
  • Develop ground operations marketing plan including “services menu”.
  • Provide guidance to Project Managers throughout the Project Management cycle.
  • Lead project Monitor and Control processes.
  • Take on the acting role of Director of Ground Operations when required.
  • Support identifying new clients and potential new services for existing clients.
  • Other tasks assigned as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Educational background in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • Experience leading technical projects in a client facing role.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or other technical certifications would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working in Project Management, Public Relations, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience assisting the project/operations team with planning, directing, and controlling the activities within scheduled time and cost parameters.
  • Experience in development of marketing and communication plans.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision, in both client relations and emergency response situations.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Being legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Successful Criminal Record Check
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Have a modern mobile phone capable of making phone calls and sending/receiving SMS and email
  • Willingness to travel and spend periods of up to four weeks away from the Fredericton office.
