We #39;re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Lifeguards. This role is your chance to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our community at our aquatic facilities. Bring your energy, leadership, and lifesaving skills to a team that values growth, teamwork, and fun!Your key responsibilities

  • Supervise aquatic activities, ensuring the safety of all patrons.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of pool areas and equipment.
  • Offer suggestions to improve operational practices for a better experience.
  • Represent the City of Medicine Hat with professionalism and positivity.
What you bring
  • Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical fitness meeting the standards outlined in the National Lifeguard Award.
  • A team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Dependability and a proactive approach to your responsibilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule consisting of days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 16 years.
  • Possess a current:
    • National Lifeguard Pool (NL - Pool) Award
    • National Lifeguard Waterpark (NL - WP) Award
    • National Lifeguard Waterfront (NL - WF) Award
    • Standard First Aid (Levelquot;C quot; CPR) Certificate, issued within the last twelve months at time of hiring.
    • Starfish Aquatic Instructor (SAI) Certificate
  • Equivalent combination of approved training and experience considered.
