Job Description

COORDINATOR– ADULT AND CONTINUING EDUCATIONALLISTONLEARNING CENTRE1.0 FTE– Permanent positionSalary Range: $58,883 - $73,605per yearThe Adult and Continuing Education divisionof the Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants fora full-time Coordinator – Adult and Continuing Education - Learning Centre forthe Alliston Location. Reportingto the Principal and Vice-Principal of Adult and Continuing Education, theCoordinator – Learning Centre is responsible for coordinating the day-to-dayoperation of the Learning Centre. Duties may include the leadership of staff,the development, implementation, performance and monitoring of programs andservices with specific accountability to performance management, communitydevelopment and facilities management.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Three(3) year college diploma or university degree in business, administration, education,or a related field;
Two (2)to three (3) years’ experience in the areas of program delivery, budgetadministration and or business operations, preferably in an educationenvironment;
Abilityto adapt and be flexible in an environment of evolving education and businessstrategies;
Demonstratedknowledge of, or experience in, adult education training and developmentprograms;
Knowledgeof government policy governing language and education, literacy, socialagencies;
Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, including the ability to preparereports and funding proposals in conjunctions with administration;
Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, andAccess;
Stronginterpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills;
Demonstratedleadership, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Strongorganizational and administrative skills, program planningand evaluation;
Demonstratedability to coordinate time, resources, and staff;
Theability to work flexible hours will be required;
Thenature of the position requires the successful candidate to have a reliablevehicle - mileage reimbursement provided at the Board established rate.TESTINGMAY BE REQUIRED DURING THE SELECTION PROCESS.Thisis a permanent position that works twelve (12) months of the year. Thecompensation range for this twelve (12) month position is $58,883 to $73,605per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
