Job Description

Salary Range: $58,300 - $72,876 per year1.0 FTE Permanent PositionThe Simcoe County DistrictSchool Board is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position ofTechnology Analyst to work as a member of the senior technical team withinInformation Technology Services (ITS). The successful candidate will provide 2ndlevel technical support, leadership, and project management, in amultifunctional role, with security being one of the primary focus’ ofresponsibility. Other areas of responsibility may include telephony,networking, cloud systems, server support, directory services and endpointmanagement, depending on the candidate’s skills.Responsibilities willinclude:·Provide technical escalation support to 2ndlevel support (Certified Network Technician) and facilitate change requests to3rd level support (System Engineers) to accommodate single point resolution.

  • Contribute
to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures andtechnical policies with respect to access, continuity, and security.
  • Support
and administration with on-premises and cloud computing security technologiessuch as M365 Security Suite, SIEM, Google Security, Server & Networksecurity, and monitoring.
  • Provide
backup support for other responsibilities within the senior ITS team, such asdirectory services, telephony, server support, cloud computing, networking,back up and/or endpoint management.Qualifications, PertinentSkills and Experience:·Minimum two (2) year college diploma ina technology related field or equivalent combination of education andexperience;·Current relevant industry recognizedcertifications such as CompTIA, Network+ / Security +, Microsoft, Cisco, andGoogle;·Four (4) years’ experience in an Enterprise/educationenvironment in networks, security, server, and backup solution planning;·Excellentorganizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent critical

  • Ability to work
independently and strong teamwork skills;
  • Strong oral and written
communication skills;
  • Strong leadership and
conflict resolution skills;
  • Previous experience in
an education environment would be an asset;

continuous changes in technology;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required as this
position will require travel to various sites throughout Simcoe County;
  • Other duties as assigned.
