The Technical Analyst will report to Software Development Manager and respond to customer needs, offering help to analyze and resolve issues in a timely fashion. The incumbent will proactively monitor and assess customer systems ensuring they remain at the agreed-upon quality-of-service levels and will rectify issues that are not at the appropriate levels. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various production systems in multiple different industries and will be responsible to maintain, analyze, test, document and resolve issues in different software solutions for Willowglen Systems clients across the globe.Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, reproduce, document, and resolve issues raised by our customers through our support portal
  • Interacting directly with customers either in person or through calls, emails, and tickets
  • Maintaining agreed upon quality-of-service levels for our customers
  • Perform routine system checks and maintenance on internal and external customer systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve our customer’s systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve our products through customer interactions
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Involvement in on-site/virtual customer support activities as requested by the customer
  • Ensures internal documentation and training are up to date
  • Performs and rectifies system issues through software and configuration updates and fixes
  • Potential for travel to Customer Sites as required (Canada & US)
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in one of the following: software developer, customer support technician, system administrator or related field
  • CompTIA Linux+ or other networking related certification
  • OOP development experience (C++ and JavaScript).
  • Understanding of relational and non-relational databases
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Nice to have
  • Experience in one of the following industries: Metro Rail (LRTs), Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Electrical, and Water & Wastewater
  • Experience designing, configuring, or supporting a SCADA, HMI or DCS system
  • Understanding of protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA/DA, SNMP, and others
  • Understanding of software and network security
  • Experience in software development using
  • C#, python, bash, and JAVA
  • Sencha EXTJS 4.2, Qt 4+
  • MySQL
  • RedHat, Windows 10
  • VMWare
