Job Description

Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity available for an Accounts Payable Manager to join our Corporate Finance team. Reporting to our Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for managing our warehouse accounts payable process and driving improvements in processes and procedures.If you are a strong leader with advanced communication and problem-solving abilities, we would love to hear from you!What You’ll Do:

  • Direct and oversee the daily management of the Warehouse Accounts Payable processes associated with the payment of invoices.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to Vendor and Dealer payment and receiving payment of invoices.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the collaborative Accounts Payable team.
  • Oversee issues with Vendors and Dealers as necessary. Interact with other department Managers to achieve solutions involving payments.
  • Coordinate Warehouse Accounts Payable Month-End processes.
  • Establish and direct Team Members toward department goals and support the workload by reviewing processes, procedures, and work habits to improve workflow.
  • Assist and lead projects as requested by the Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
What we’re looking for:
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • Three to five years of leadership experience in an EDI based Accounts Payable department with the ability to manage, motivate and direct an effective team.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Oracle Financials.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and tact in dealing with difficult financial situations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail, accuracy and demonstrated ability to handle confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities with ease while continuing to meet deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Ability to work additional or varied hours as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
