Job Description

Position Title: Deli Manager in-Training Requisition ID: 36874 Career Group (ADSP): Stores Division: Department: [[filter6]] Position Location: [[filter3]] Position Type: PermanentPOSITION: Deli Manager - Full-Time [Non-Union]RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Adheres to the department’s assigned budget
  2. Manages and directs activities pertaining to department staff including hiring, coaching, training and disciplining
  3. Ensures proper ordering, purchasing and inventory control and develops and implements strategic plans to achieve projected gross profits
  4. Ensures department is ready for business at all times
  5. Implements and ensures adherence to Customer Service Policy
  6. Ensures adherence to Company policies and procedures and government regulations concerning healthamp; safety, sanitation, security, etc.
  7. Provides support with overall store operations including store opening and closing
  8. Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Director
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Community college graduate or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  2. Minimum 3 years’ directly related management experience with extensive product knowledge, government regulations, ordering, merchandising, inventory taking and gross profit analysis
  3. Customer service driven and highly organized
  4. Proven leadership abilities with strong communication skills
  5. Capable of standing for a prolonged period of 4-8 hours; of bending, twisting and turning and reaching; and of lifting up to 65 lbs.
  6. Available to work days, evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, as required
