Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified Utilities Field Specialist to join our Infrastructure team, based out of Toronto, ON. The Advanced Works Utilities Field Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the execution of all utility works (preparatory works) across the alignment for the Ontario Line project to ensure successful completion of the utility #39;s relocation scope by utility companiesamp; Contractors and have the opportunity to be part of the Ontario Line Delivery Partner Integrated project team. Join us in this full time permanent role and be a champion of diversity and inclusion.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Build or continue to build relationships with utility companies interfacing with the project and represent the interests of Metrolinx
  • Coordination of construction schedules of works performed by utility companies/ works contractors.
  • Monitor execution of works performed by utility companies/ works contractors in the field
  • Coordinate solutions for constructability issues associated with works.
  • Coordinate with utility companies/ responsible entities for unknown utility identification.
  • Coordinate with utility companies developing solutions to utility clashes in the field by other contractors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the construction industry and/or large-scale infrastructure projects; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • Demonstrated technical writing, data management, verbal communication, presentation, and teaching skills
  • Experience with utility relocation and license agreements for major infrastructure projects, including rail, design-build, and/or other complex projects
  • Experience with demolition works of commercial and residential properties.
  • Experience interacting with local communities
