IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITY Interim Chief of RadiologyDuration: 3 months Reports: Chief of Staff Location: GTA East, Ontario Part-time 0.6 FTEHybridAccommodation provided as neededOur client is a high-profile community hospital who have seen significant growth and diversification of services over the last decade. They are looking for an experienced professional to help them elevate the sophistication and impact of their radiology programs, guiding the team through a period of significant change and opportunity. This is an exciting assignment for a seasoned physician leader who wants to utilize their knowledge to have a big impact, reshaping the structure, strategy and optimizing new technologies to build a best-in-class radiology program for the area. Key Accountabilities:

  • Make a full assessment of the current programs, services, technologies, structures, and people providing your insights to the Chief of Staff and the CEO.
  • Ensure all SLA’s address the needs of the hospital, their partners, and the community.
  • Perform a fulsome quality and peer review.
  • Help the organization select the right technologies and work with partners to secure these at the best value for the hospital, patients, and the community.
  • Prepare the organization for the aforementioned new technologies and ensure everyone has the knowledge and skills to optimize utilization and patient impact.
  • Create a patient centred approach across all services in the department.
  • Make recommendations to the Medical Advisory Committee regarding Professional Human Resources Plan needs of the Department in accordance with the Hospital #39;s strategic plan.
  • Identify and resolve issues and risks specific to the Professional Staff within the Department.
  • Monitor and address Professional Staff concerns, complaints, and criticisms.
  • Advise the Chief Executive Officer and Chief of Staff wherever a Professional Staff member is alleged to have engaged in, made, or exhibited acts, statements, demeanour, behaviours or professional conduct, either within or outside of the healthcare facilities.
  • Review the Privileges granted to the Professional Staff members of the Department for the purpose of making recommendations for changes in the kind and degree of such Privileges.
  • Supervise the professional care provided by all Professional Staff members in the Department.
  • Advise the Medical Advisory Committee, through and with the Chief of Staff, with respect to the quality of care provided in the Hospital by all Professional Staff members in the Department.
  • Advise the Chief of Staff and the Chief Executive Officer of any Patient who is not receiving appropriate treatment and care in the Department.
  • Report to the Medical Advisory Committee, through and with the Chief Executive Officer, and to the Department on activities of the Department, including utilization of resources and quality improvement and Patient safety initiatives.
  • Drive the planning and delivery of medical services based on the needs of the department, the hospital, and the province to align with the organizations overall strategy, and work in collaboration with other medical leaders in the hospital and Health Authorities within ON to enable improved patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Deliver and manage the medical programs, including quality, safety, and medical staff development and support within the department.
  • Maintain and promote positive public relations with all clients including patients, visitors, and staff.
Competencies and Requirements:
  • To be considered the candidate must hold a Medical Degree.
  • Have deep experience as a radiologist.
  • Have extensive leadership experience, coaching teams through transformation.
  • Demonstrates commitment to patient-focused care and evidence-based practice.
