We are looking for a sales-focused Mortgage Advisor to continue our growth and bring their competitive sales mindset to drive strong revenue and income opportunities. What you’ll be doing: Reporting directly to the VP, Mortgages, you will be a main client point of contact, acting as their mortgage Advisor for inbound leads. Providing advice and focusing on converting leads to funded mortgages. You will be facilitating the loan fulfillment with lenders (lender package delivery and partner liaising for all mortgage Customer files). This is a fast-paced position, working with multiple parts and dealing with confidential, private information. Success in this position is measured by the ability to provide an excellent experience and convert client leads, with absolute compliance to the Homewise Policies and Procedures Manual. This is an exciting role that will have you working with multiple team members, both within Homewise (including our in-house Real Estate team) and our lender partners. It is an integral role for our growing company. What we are looking for:Someone who is sales-focused and advice oriented. This is a role where each client is a potential mortgage and referral, so we are looking for Advisors who will work to get the sale, while providing amazing advice to create a long-term client.You will have relevant experience in mortgage documentation review and loan fulfillment in a financial institution.You are part of our governance first line of defense in driving compliance to Homewise Policies and Procedures.You are motivated and a self-starter. You must work well under tight deadlines and maintain a high level of organization, while balancing multiple tasks. Attention to detail is key, and our platform needs tech-savvy people, comfortable with paperless, fully digital work. You are obsessed with Customer experience and always willing to deliver the best service. You are always there for our Homewise Customers! Responsibilities:

  • Taking inbound leadsamp; making outbound calls, online, by phone, or in person and converting them to closed mortgage applications, with the support of the Mortgage Operations Specialist (fulfillment team)
  • Managing deal flow through our CRM HubSpot, with efficiency and excellence.
  • Ensure a smooth mortgage application process for clients, provide insight and thought to continuously improve the customer experience, and handle customer complaints, should they arise
  • Submit to Lawyers and Lenders
  • Ensure all lender conditions are met prior to closing to the closing date
  • Data entry into Filogix Expert and in the Homewise Relationship Manager, and other systems of our digital platform.
  • Maintaining your FSCO Certified Mortgage Agent designation (a must)
Requirements:
  • Excellent digital environment skills. We mean by that you are very good with computers and office software packages (by the way, let us know if you are a touch typist). You need to know Filogix Expert
  • Mortgage underwriting (asset)
  • Mortgage sales experience
  • Self-motivated
  • Analytical: You can break down complex situations and provide solutions
  • Resourceful: Not to be a know it all but you will get the answers
  • Proactive: You enjoy being busy and productive throughout the day as this is a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude: We have a great team culture and so the candidate must be of this same mindset
Experience:
  • Mortgage Sales Agent/Advisor: 1 year (preferred)
Schedule:
  • Full Time
  • Hybrid (will be expected to come into the office 1-2 times per week based on business needs)

  • $40,000-50,000 base annual salary plus commission (based on experience)
