Employment Type:Contract ending March 31st, 2025, BargainingWork Hours:35 hours/weekWork Setting: Onsite – Limited Opportunities to Work RemotelySalary:G - $53,058.24Application Deadline:Open until filled Program Overview – Workforce Development, Community ProgramsThe Outreach Coordinator helps ensure the visibility and credibility of and the participant recruitment in programs and services delivered within the Workforce Development team. The Outreach Coordinator is expected to plan, design and implement outreach campaigns to prospective participants and employers. Primary areas of responsibility include: developing outreach assets such as testimonials, infographics, videos, informational webinars and flyers; designing and implementing outreach campaigns in social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram), via email and on the WoodGreen website; tracking campaign results, performing continuous improvement of campaign activities; facilitating live information sessions; and conducting telephone, email and in-person outreach to other social services agencies. What You Will Do

  • Plan, design, and implement the completion of program-level outreach assets and campaigns within the Workforce Development team.
  • Work with Workforce Development supervisors and front-line staff to ensure excellent collaboration and workflow to optimize quality and efficiency.
  • Develop timely outreach assets (e.g. videos, infographics, ads, data visualizations, photos, animations, PowerPoint presentations, testimonials, flyers, web pages, social media posts) that are effective at demonstrating the value of workforce development programs to the target participants (e.g., tells compelling and relate-able stories, creates engagement via the medium, answers frequently asked questions, propels prospects to next step).
  • Conduct sensitive interviews with program participants to obtain video, audio and or written testimonials and stories.
  • Be a trusted voice of the client to help inform program design and improvements.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns via LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc.
  • Coordinate effectively with WoodGreen’s marketing team, as needed, to update the WoodGreen website and distribute content via WoodGreen’s social media accounts.
  • Plan and execute email campaigns with attractive, formatted content. Potentially source third-party email lists. Track and manage results.
  • Monitor campaign activities and results and update Workforce Development Team supervisors and Sr. Manager regularly.
  • Build and manage the portfolio of outreach assets in MS Teams taking direction from the Supervisor, Training and Evaluation.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Workforce Development programs and conduct information sessions with prospective participants, as needed.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of any information related to the organization, units, programs, staff, and clients to which the position #39;s duties provide access.
  • Participate in training to upgrade skills as directed by WoodGreen Community Services to fulfill the position #39;s responsibilities.
  • Ensure anti-racism objectives and community development principles of the organization are achieved.
  • Participate in regular supervisory sessions.
  • Participate in regular staff and unit meetings.
  • Carries out additional duties as identified from time to time by the Supervisor, Workforce Development
What You Bring to the Team
  • University degree in the field of marketing, graphic design, public relations, journalism, business, communication or related.
  • Minimum one year of work experience in video filming and editing, voiceovers.
  • Minimum one year of work experience in developing and implementing social media and email campaigns.
  • A strong portfolio of related project work.
  • Excellent skills in various software products to support the development of outreach assets (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite, video editing platforms, audio editing/mixing, MailChimp, Visio);

  • Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid model (at home or an office location) as needed. The ability to travel to different WoodGreen locations occasionally as needed and to work for extended periods at one location, if needed (e.g. for two weeks at one location while training classes are in progress).
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse and to handle other computer components.
  • Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and equipment.
  • Lifting and setting up tables, chairs, projectors, etc., to stage outreach assets.
