Job Description

Location: Toronto, ONSalary: $33.65 per hour Hours to be worked per week: 35 hours per weekOvertime: to be paid in accordance with the prevailing provincial employment standardsVacancy: 1 vacancyJOB DUTIES:

  • Ensure appropriate administration of donor information in the donor database
  • Provide substantial support to the delivery of CNIB’s annual fundraising activities in support of the CNIB Lake Joe camp in Muskoka, Ontario
  • Manage and oversee the complex United Way giving application across Ontario and collaborate with the programs team to ensure the applications are submitted correctly
  • Manage and steward all third party event donations for Ontario
  • Support the moves management activities including monitoring
  • Coordinate team functions including, not limited to, material ordering and logistics, managing equipment and supply inventories, implementing team administration tasks, scheduling and coordinating meetings and taking meeting minutes
  • Maintain high quality stewardship practices for active donors including reporting and sustaining detailed record of activities
  • Manage special projects/ events as required
  • Ensure consistency, quality, accuracy and timeliness of all communications consistent with CNIB’s brand
  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in philanthropy
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other departments (Finance, Marketing and Communications, Gift Management) for team projects
RequirementsEducation Requirements: A bachelor #39;s degree or equivalent in public administration or a related disciplineLanguage Requirements: EnglishExperience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a related administrative occupation preferably in a not-for-profit/ charitable organizationTerms of Employment: permanent/full timeStart date: As soon as possibleEmployment Conditions: Work Settings: Willingness to work flexible hours, Occasional travel is required, Driver’s license requiredTransportation: Not needed Personal Suitability:
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Strong competencies in Windows environment and with Microsoft Office software
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with a focus on efficiency
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated success in proposal and stewardship development
  • Experience coordinating events and / or fundraising committee is an asset
  • Professional attitude, result oriented, strategic and flexible
