Job Description

Position: Stress EngineerClient: One of our Aerospace clientsLocation: Mirabel, Quebec / Toronto, CanadaHire Type: Fulltime / Contract Have experience in Client’s programs and having in depth knowledge on NASGRO tool.Responsible for justification of the damages and repair solutions from Static, Fatigue and damage tolerance point of view.Fatigueamp; Damage Tolerance (F amp;DT) evaluation and detailed analysis of fatigue damages such as corrosion, dents, bulges, gouges, chafe, score, cracks, fastener replacement, hole elongation, lightning strike, bird strike, blend out and doubler repair (in-service and existing structural repairs).Experience in defining inspection tasks and maintenance intervals (Threshold and Repeat Inspection Intervals)Perform detailed finite element modelling (DFEM) and linear static analysis of metallic structures to simulate mechanical behavior and check the structural integrity. Educational Qualifications:Must have a Bachelor of Science degree or above in Engineering from an accredited University.Must have a minimum of 5 years engineering experience in stress analysis. Have proficiency in classical stress (static) analysis methods and FEM based analysis tools (i.e., MSC Patran/Nastran, Altair Hyper-mesh).
