Job Description

Role: Technical Lead (Java)Location: Toronto (Onsite)Duration: 6-12+ MonthsJob DescriptionI would like a candidate that is prepared to be onsite in downtown Toronto on a regular basis.

  • Candidates should have development experience in Java/J2EE.
  • Experience in performing Requirement Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring frameworks especially in Microservices, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Java 8 and above and JPA + Hibernate
  • Strong knowledge of system design.
  • Proficient in Microservice technology and development experience of RESTFUL and SOAP Web Services
  • Familiarity with C/C++ and COBOL code, as we may need to understand the code written in C/C++ and COBOL.
  • Familiarity with HP Non-Stop DB, as this is the backend of the application.
  • Good communication skills including Client communications.
  • Experience in working in an Offshore/Onsite model.
  • Experience working with the Client team to gather business requirements. This may require multiple follow-ups.
  • Experience in deployment and troubleshooting issues.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with GIT or similar source control tools.
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum software development methodologies using tools such as Jira, Confluence, BitBucket.
  • Good to have knowledge on any frontend stack like Vue.js + PrimeVue.
  • Good to have knowledge on frontend and backend API integration.
  • Experience with AWS, CI/CD best practices and monitoring tools like DataDog.
  • Experience in modernization or migration of applications from a legacy tech stack to a latest tech stack (preferably AWS).
