With over 30 years’ experience, FMFN Group has become a leader in providing heavy construction and mining services in the Wood Buffalo Region of Northern Alberta.JOB DETAILSFMFN Group is seeking a self-motivated individual to perform heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair (on-road & off-road), which includes maintaining, repairing and overhauling heavy vehicles and heavy industrial equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintenance and repair of on-road and off-road equipment (from tractor-trailers to mining equipment); diagnose faults or malfunctions.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure work meets manufacturers’ specifications, legislated regulations, and service reports.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals; record each job task on a work order
  • Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated, and maintained; clean working environment.
  • Attend standard service calls to the site or other locations
  • Record each inspection with a 20-point inspection guideline for heavy-duty equipment
working conditions
  • Rotation: 7×7, 12 hours per day with overtime available
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more; prolonged standing, walking, lifting, squatting and bending
  • Able to perform work in adverse weather conditions, including hot, cold and inclement weather
  • Great team environment
Qualifications
  • Journeyperson Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician
  • 2-5 years experience as a Journeyperson
  • Must have own transportation to travel to and from a worksite
  • Must have own tools and a lockable toolbox
  • Full Class 5 License
