Job Description

The Assistant Security Operations Supervisor is responsible for leadership and management of security operations at one or more NXP facilities. He/she assists the Operations Supervisor in coordinating a staff of up to 30 personnel to ensure the security and safety of NXP facilities, employees, assets, and intellectual property.Essential Job Functions:

  • The Assistant Security Operations Supervisor provides leadership, direction, and oversight in all areas of physical security and ensures compliance with security policy and requirements. Provides direct support to the Security Operations Supervisor.
  • Oversee service implementation. Ensure continuous coverage and manage scheduling of NXP staff.
  • Security technology management (automated access, CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and emergency communications). Assist in the coordination of necessary repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. Provide oversight and direction to security systems vendors.
  • Conduct training for contract and NXP employees. Develop new training programs.
  • Create, maintain, review, and update security-related documentation. This may include guard force post orders and procedures, physical security risk assessments, threat assessments, and emergency plans.
  • Investigations and incident response and reporting. Respond to major incident events. Create and review reports and provide direction or corrective action. Lead or support investigations.
  • Access & visitor management. Review, evaluate, and provide direction to maintain access control and customer service.
  • Provide concise and actionable information and assessments.
  • Provide short notice briefings during rapidly developing situations.
Qualifications:Preferred education and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and other security systems operation and configuration
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to people at all levels
Must also possess and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to achieve results and overcome challenges
  • Sound knowledge of physical security practices and principles
  • High standard of ethics
  • Demonstrated presentation and instructional skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Former military experience a plus
