You can also visit us on Indeed and Glassdoor.Instagram | Facebook | LinkedIn | Twitter | TikTokDetailed Overview:Reporting to the Manager, Food & Nutrition or designate, performs a variety of duties within the food service operation such as setting up trays, portioning meals and preparing items such as tea, coffee, toast and washing dishes and utensils; delivers and picks up meal trays from the patients room.Responsibilities:
  • Assembles and sets ups meal trays with items according to information printed on patients meal ticket; loads and unloads meal wagons; delivers and picks up meal trays from the patients room.
  • Makes beverages and food items such as tea, coffee, and toast; assembles items such as sandwiches and salads.
  • Washes, peels and stores vegetables and fruit.
  • Cleans soiled dishes and utensils; stores cleaned dishes, trays and utensils in the appropriate areas.
  • Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping and damp mopping floors, cleaning counter tops, sinks, machines and equipment and spot washing walls; removes garbage as required.
  • Collects stores requisitions from various areas and distributes supplies to the appropriate areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Education and ExperienceGrade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Successful completion of a recognized Food Safe Certificate.Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
