Job Description

3D Animator-RiggerWe are looking for a creative and passionate individual to fill the position of 3D Animator-Rigger. In this role, you will be working with some of the most popular childrens brands in the market. As a 3D Animator-Rigger, you will be responsible for various 3D tasks in the development of our mobile games by animating and rigging objects, creatures, and human. You will insure the follow-up of these assets from the conceptual phase to final completion. In addition, the 3D Animator-Rigger will be responsible for the creation/implementation of highly versatile rigging systems, animation tools and interfaces for the execution of all specific video game projects. You will be able to define rigging requirements and maintain all 3D characters throughout the animation process. You will work closely with the development team, including the VP of Creative, Game designers, Programmers and Producers.Responsibilities:**

  • Master animation of characters and rigging;
  • Master animation of objects;
  • Develop the rigging workflow, pipeline, and design the documentation for your team;
  • Provide knowledge and solutions for complex rigging, animation, and shading pipeline problems;
  • Animate and create Motion editing within a complex animation system;
  • Hands-on approach in rigging of a variety of characters and props;
  • Participate in production development meetings / projects;
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in art and / or 3D modeling technique or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 1 year or more of experience in a similar role in the field of video game development;
  • Expert knowledge of Maya;
  • Knowledge of Photoshop;
  • Knowledge of After Effects software is an asset;
  • Master the design and principles of 3D modeling for video games;
  • Good knowledge of 3D animation and creation of low-resolution 3D model;
  • Knowledge of Motion Builder a must;
  • Scripting knowledge (HLSL, C#, JavaScript, Maxscript, Python) is an asset;
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Time management skills; respect production deadlines;
  • Attention to details;
  • Creative, resourceful, organized and disciplined individual;
  • Adaptability and flexibility required.
