The team is responsiblefor production support and release of solutions providing discreet functionality, driven by the globalG10 Rates business. The systems are used globally with major server hubs in London, NY, Tokyo andSingapore.The team is responsible for the support of Deal Capture trading systems. The successful candidatewill be joining a team of 3 people in Montreal, with another 5 team members based in NYK where themain trading floor for the Americas is based. The role will include trader, sales and middle-officesupport, troubleshooting as well as analysis for new requirements, testing and project work.MISSION AND OBJECTIVES- Application production support for Global Markets G10 RatesMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES- Using your knowledge and exemplary service skills to resolve business inquiries, andensuring the accurate and timely escalation and resolution of the issues.- Provide day-to-day technical expertise and operational support to obtain highest degrees ofproduction stability for trading application.- Support applications for end to end trade lifecycle including trade execution and booking,market data, risk management, etc.- Trouble shooting issues using technology skills (reading logs, basic SQL) and workingclosely with Level 3 development team to manage resolution of application issues.- Monitor and improve monitoring of the booking application suite and proactively fix potentialissues.- Work with Application Development teams to implement fixes and improve stability.- Work with the business, technology, and operations to manage competing priorities.- Document, implement and adhere to operational and technical standards, best practices,processes, and procedures (problem/change/release/request management/service/timereporting).- Assist with identifying and implementing areas for improvement within existing operational andtechnical processes and maintain related documentation.REQUIREMENTSESSENTIAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS/Objectives : - Excellent knowledge of financial products and trade lifecycle- Strong trouble shooting skills, technical skills especially in the use of SQL- Highly disciplined, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities withan extreme level of detail, accuracy, confidentiality, diplomacy, and initiative- Good command of the English language. Fluency in second world language is a plus.- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, demonstrate a responsible work ethic, highlevel of professionalism and sound judgment- Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts (starting 7.30am ET or ending 7:00pm ET ondifferent days)- User focused and service oriented, with a proactive user approach- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, demonstrate a responsible work ethic, highlevel of professionalism and sound judgment- Use of industry standard tools (Service Now/ITSM, Jira) is a plusTRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE- Bachelors degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering- 5 years experience in an Application support, Technology support or in a Service Deliveryrole particularly in the financial sector is preferred.- The successful candidate will be passionate about service, with the ability to work independently andas part of a team, have strong troubleshooting skills and will use communication and relationshipmanagement skills to ensure absolute user satisfaction with the services provided. In addition tofollowing current procedures and standards, the successful candidate will also be expected to reviewand improve the existing processes and to create, update and deploy production tools.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 12 monthsPay: $25.00-$65.00 per hourSchedule:
