Job Description

MOBIA Technology Innovations is a Systems Integration company with multiple business unit areas: Broadband Wireless Services, Managed Services, Infrastructure Solutions, Cybersecurity, and Application and Data Services. Working with Telecommunication Service Providers, Government, Healthcare, and Enterprises across Canada, MOBIA has developed strategic business relationships with industry leading technology partners to help our customers achieve positive business outcomes.MOBIA is currently seeking a Bilingual Telecom Design Spec Writer to join our growing Team.The Bilingual Telecom Design Spec Writer is responsible for:

  • Analyzing and understanding Core Network plans
  • Facilitating the preparation of installation specifications to assist central office installation forces in building core networks.
  • Completing and issuing installation specifications to meet critical delivery milestones.
  • Interpreting field assignment requests to ensure appropriate information is captured in the installation specification.
  • Creating material lists and order minor and major materials.
  • Information gathering to facilitate the creation of a complete installation specification.
  • Ensuring provisioning milestones are completed by appropriate deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Inside Plant Fibre Systems (Cable, Distribution, Termination)
  • Quality control for specs and drawings.
  • Ensuring design standards are adhered to.
  • Quality control for designs and drawings.
  • Other duties as required.
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Excellent software skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience in using MS Office, Excel, Outlook etc
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English is required.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD records applications.
  • Customer Service focused individuals that take pride in delivering high quality products.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunication core network would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in the telecom field as an installer or maintenance technician would be an asset.
