Job Description

Eaton’s Aerospace Group, Fuel Motion Control Division is currently seeking an Electromechanical Systems Customer Liaison to join our team. This is a remote role primarily based at a customer site in Montreal, QC.Position Overview:The Electromechanical Systems Customer Liaison will provide technical leadership onsite at a customer location in the development, integration, troubleshooting, and testing of complex hardware/software for the new product development of aerospace electro-mechanical actuation products from research and development through initial production.   • Work directly with internal and external customers, suppliers, project engineers, design engineers, test engineers, COE functional leads, program management, and other product team members to develop systems and products.
  • Provides onsite support to customer for requirement definition, system development, and testing as needed.
  • Knowledge of aerospace engineering in support of flight control system & subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICDs, modeling/simulation, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems.
  • Develop tools, design methods, analysis, and verification techniques to ensure efficient and accurate system architectures and predictions.
  • Develop and apply the technical and diagnostic skills to verify functionality of test equipment.
  • Creates technical project plans and oversees the validation activities for new testing concepts.
  • Champion process adherence and improvement across the engineering organization and enforces adherence to processes and standards on assigned programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ system engineering experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in system engineering
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 80 kilometers of Montreal, QC.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Member of Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec
  • Experience with actuation, electrical actuation and control products
  • Familiarity with Test Automation and Data Acquisition systems including LabView, National Instruments and MATLab
  • Knowledge of DO 330/331
  • Knowledge of DO178 B/C
  • Knowledge of ARINC 429 and 825 communication protocol.
  • Experience with IBM Jazz (DNG, RQM, RTC)
  • Ability to use CAD program for fixture design and development.
