In collaboration with the team, the financial analyst must carry out precise financial analyzes and modeling with added value in order to support the strategic objectives of the company. The ideal candidate must be thorough, speak clearly, be dynamic when working in a team and demonstrate strong modeling and financial analysis skills, in addition to strong business acumen.YOUR CONTRIBUTIONUpon your arrival, you will support the corporate finance team in Enerkems financial analysis processes. This is an opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team while enriching your career and working on Enerkems unique disruptive technology.The Finance team recently closed a significant $255M financing round, led by a new strategic partner, with the continued participation of existing investors and the addition of a new investor. In collaboration with the management team and external advisors, the Finance team participated in the search for investors, the corporate presentations, the development of the financing structure, the negotiations with the investors and all the steps required to close the financing.Your role and responsibilities will be:

  • Support the strategic development of the company and the execution of its business plan
  • Develop, apply and improve complex financial models to support the development of major capital projects, corporate financing and project financing
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and teams (management, legal, business development, innovation) to prepare financial analyses and assist in presentation to internal committees, partners and clients
  • Participate in financing negotiations at the corporate and project level
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and other strategic business initiatives aimed at value creation
  • Monitor market trends and conduct industry analysis to identify business opportunities and establish modeling assumptions
  • Perform other assigned duties as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing, investment banking, corporate development or related field an asset
YOUR COMPENTENCIES
  • Experience in financial modeling
  • Transactional experience in a financial context, an asset
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to set priorities, strong ability to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail
  • Flexible, motivated and energetic candidate who works well within a dynamic team in a constantly changing environment
  • Bilingualism
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
