This includes, but is not limited to settlement of Fixed Income transactions settling through Indeval/Banxico, BNY Mellon and Euroclear. Responsible for settling repo transactions, DVP & RVP trades, cash movements, end of day balancing and reconciliations.In detail

  • Ensure timely settlement of Mexican Bonds & Repo trades for BNP Mexico Branch
  • Ensure timely settlement of Fed transactions for BNP Paribas Sec Corp and Paris entities
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of box positions and Bonds & Repos trades
  • Ensure fail control
  • Perform trade research and investigation
  • Daily monitoring of APEX, ICI and Calypso trade monitors
  • Perform daily cash movements
  • Monitor / resolve breaks
  • Liaise with Front Office, trade support, APS teams, custodian and clients
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
  • Candidates should have at at 1-2 years’ experience in a broker/dealer environment and have had close contact with Front Office and Operations teams.
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field is required
  • Necessary characteristics include: Attention to details, accuracy, reliability, initiative, working under pressure, and respecting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Language: French/English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge of Back Office Operations, specifically Fixed Income Securities
  • Knowledge of repo/reverse trade processing, including calculation of interest
  • Comprehensive research skills
  • Assertive follow up to outstanding payments and discrepancies
  • High Level of Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
