Job Description

The opportunityThe Gildan Internship Program 2023 offers students the opportunity to participate in stimulating projects and gain valuable experience that will help them transition to the workplace. Our summer internship program will take place from May 15th to August 11th, 2023. As the Intern of Multimedia and Digital Asset Management, your primary responsibility will be to support the Global Communications and Corporate Marketing department with developing our digital asset library to help pave the way for more efficient and streamlined internal creative workflow processes. You will have the chance to assess, plan, and develop a taxonomy system for the departments many terabytes of content spread across seven touchpoints. If you are passionate about multimedia content, developing filing methodologies, and cataloguing, this position is for you!The roleAssess and Map-out:

  • Map out entirety of assets across platforms
  • Assess current workflows for retrieving and finding content
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop new filing methodology
  • Build workflow for adding new assets
Migrate and Tag:
  • Migrate, organize, and tag assets according to established structure
  • Ensure consistency of file system
  • Document the process and share learnings with internal stakeholders
Implementation Coordination:
  • Participate in procurement and project management meetings
  • Familiarize yourself with new platform
  • Support implementation and deployment internally
  • Onboard and train new users
What you bring to the roleKnowledge & Professional Experience
  • Undergraduate coursework in digital content management and taxonomy development or equivalent
  • Completed at least 2nd year in an undergraduate program
  • Currently studying in a field related with the department in which the internship is offered
  • Relevant course work/projects/experience in the field of interest, OR relevant leadership or community involvement experience.
