IT Technical Advisor Specialist - Jobs in Montréal, QC

We’re looking for an IT Technical Advisor Specialist to join our growing team.What you will do here

You will help manage all environments related to the data warehouse ecosystem ( Delphix and Oracle databases) here at Intact.
You will apply the best practices and guidelines of the organizational and departmental change management process in relation to databases.
Participate in planning, implementation, and integration for complex large-scale data projects.
Set up, configure and maintain the various database solutions and tools (Oracle, Delphix, Informatica )
Be proactive in reviewing, developing and implementing processes and procedures.
Act as a point of contact and guide users on best practices around data.
Collaborate with other team members on projects.
Partner with the Data and Analytics development teams to help implement and support continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes
Participate in the continuous improvement of processes by providing ideas, best practices, improved processes in a new agile approach (DEVOPS).
Help develop automation to improve daily database operations.
Ensure the monitoring and application of current security processes.
Provide high-level support on major incidents.
Part of the overall on call support team.

What you bring to the table:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or any combination of equivalent education and experience
10 or more years experience working in large and complex IT environments
Expert knowledge and dep technical understanding with Oracle 12 and 19C, Delphix, informatica power center, AIX and Linux operating systems
Experience with Snowflake and databricks
Can identify issues and recognize deviations from accepted practices and processes
Comfortable in a very dynamic team structure
Enthusiastic towards new technologies
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Work in a self-driven, fast-paced environment
Can solve problems and think outside the box
Excellent communication skills
Bilingual (French and English)
