• Analyze and solve a variety of technical problems in industrial mechanics and piping.
• Actively participate in carrying out small, medium and large multidisciplinary mandates within a work team of engineers and technicians.
• Carry out studies and detailed engineering mandates related to existing client installations with brownfield or greenfield projects.
• Prepare plans and specifications from guidelines for mechanical mandates.
• Perform calculations.
• Prepare material lists and bills of lading in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established methods, in compliance with BBA’s quality system requirements.
• Perform technical information surveys at client locations.
• Assist more experienced staff with the technical aspects of more complex tasks.
• Occasionally coordinate the work of drafters or others at the request of a senior engineer.
• Occasionally supervise contractors on site.

Requirements

• Ongoing undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and other applications, databases and interfaces
• Asset: knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, AFT Fathom and ANSYS applications
• Asset: ASP Construction card
• Asset: mechanical experience in the industrial, energy or mining sectors
• Asset: bilingual, both written and spoken (English and French)
