Job Description

Operations AssociateWindermere CapitalWindermere Capital is seeking an Operations Associate to work in our downtown Montreal office.Windermere Capital is an investment management firm focused on the creation, management and distribution of unique investment products and solutions.Under the direction of the President, the Operations Associate requires the ability to work within deadlines in a demanding environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate must be dependable, flexible, resourceful, self-motivated, a team player, have an excellent work ethic and willingness to take on additional responsibilities. The ability to balance these challenges and interact well with others is essential.The Operations Associate position currently handles the following duties:

  • Calculates the net asset value of two hedge fund portfolios, as required;
  • Supervise the monthly books and accounting of the Company and participate in the production and review of financial statements;
  • Assists the Chief Compliance Officer with day-to-day monitoring of compliance policies and procedures;
  • Assists with portfolio monitoring, analysis, research and modeling;
  • Other duties as assigned
To qualify for this opportunity you possess: * a Bachelor’s degree with business related coursework or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance preferred;
  • knowledge of related custody and/or fund accounting experience is an asset;
  • knowledge of securities markets and investment industry policies and procedures is an asset;
  • strong analytical, organizational and attention to detail skills;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French;
  • a proactive approach to problem solving;
  • a strong knowledge of MS Office applications, and spreadsheet proficiency;
  • an ability to provide technical expertise to resolve daily problems
