Our successes and accomplishments are driven by embodying and upholding values, which include creativity, integrity, inclusiveness and relevance.Do you think you have the ability and drive to keep up with this exciting, ever-changing industry Whether it be in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you would be joining a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories that are important to Canadians.Your roleAs Production Assistant, you assist the Switcher/Director and Reporter/Presenter (Themed Newscasts) in developing, planning, preparing and live playout of our sportscasts via the automated control room.This is a permanent part-time position on weekends from Friday to Sunday.We are looking for a candidate with the following:Qualifications:

  • Community college diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years’ relevant experience including live playout in a sportscast production environment
Skills:
  • Good knowledge of on-air presentation software (iNEWS)
  • Solid command of production workflows
  • Excellent knowledge of sports
  • Good knowledge of Avid and Vizrt applications
  • Solid command of French (working language)
  • Knowledge of automated control room operations is an asset
  • English is an asset
  • Very good general knowledge, with a particular interest in sports news
  • Good knowledge of all aspects of television production
Selected candidates will be tested as follows:
  • Theory tests: knowledge related to the position
  • Practical tests: will cover various situation scenarios related to the production requirements
