Our vision is to empower audiences with unbiased commodity news, differing views, and a global perspective.Job Role Summary:The Social Media Specialist will run the social media for all Kitco Media brands applying a holistic understanding of the business and category needs and translating them into digital actions. They will lead content calendar creation, execute social strategy initiatives, work with the Digital Marketing Manager to launch and create content supporting Kitco Media’s social channels, and engage our audience to grow our followings. The ideal candidate will be a creative and dynamic team-oriented individual, a big-picture strategic thinker, a solid communicator, and an excellent copywriter. They will have a strong interest in commodities, business, finance, or the blockchain, and an understanding of integrated digital communication. This position will report to the Digital Marketing Manager.Responsibilities:

• Take charge of the day-to-day management of multiple social media accounts over various channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Collaborate on the development of social media strategy and content calendar.
• Develop valuable content with the support of our Media team with graphic design, video, and copy, tailored to specific audiences, channels, and business divisions.
• Build our audience of followers and strengthen relationships through conversation; assist with basic inquiries and forward complex inquiries to relevant topic experts.
• Manage paid social media campaigns.
• Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics.
• Contribute your creativity and storytelling abilities to additional content marketing and special projects as required.
• Report on social media campaign performance as it relates to both branding (followers, likes, comments, etc.) and business (landing page visits, leads) goals to track, measure, and analyze all initiatives and report on social media ROI.
• Stay up to date on current market news, Kitco NEWS competitors, and commodities
• Stay up to date on B2B and B2C social media marketing trends and proactively push the organization to adopt emerging best practices.
• Write creative and effective social posts that inspire engagement.
• Daily community management and engagement across channels, turning our audience fans into brand advocates.
• Create imagery and gifs to feed social sites using Canva, Photoshop, or similar programs.
• Find new ways to expand social reach, increase quality engagement, and foster loyalty.
• Other related duties and required or assigned.

Your Skills:

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong interest in commodities, business, finance, or blockchain, the crypto market is essential.
• Understanding of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube platforms, both paid and organic.
• Exceptional storytelling, ability to create compelling content that educates, entertains, and sparks conversation.
• Creative and organized with the ability to write and design captivating social media posts.
• Ability to write authoritatively in different tones/voices and for a variety of audiences.
• Social media metrics reporting.
• Aptitude for detail within demanding timelines.
• Proactive with a collaborative mindset, while also able to take and follow directions.
• Ability to relate to people from all walks of life with respect and empathy.
• Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of consumers and internal team members.
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and image editing software is an asset.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office required.
• Fluent written and spoken English, an additional language would be an asset.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage well under deadlines and multi-task effectively.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrates a positive work ethic and team player attitude.
• Strong attention to detail.
