  • Assists with tracking and maintaining communication and assignments among all team members including external translation firms.
  • Develop a medium term and long-term strategy in terms of translation needs and resources for our district.
  • Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
  • Accurately proofs, edits, and rewords text to deliver an error-free, professional submission on time.
  • Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure).
Qualifications
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in translation or related field.
  • Exceptional written and oral skills in English and French.
  • 1 year or more of proven work experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role.
  • Demonstrates effective project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, proofreading skills, good judgement, and ability to problem-solve.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with and influence a diverse group sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
