• A full-time schedule of 35 hours per week and 100% remote.Salary range: 73 204$ to 89 780$
• A full-time schedule of 40 hours per week and 100% in-person*.Salary range: 86 834$ to 106 012$
  • 5/5 days physical presence at our head office is located at 1000 de la Gauchetière West, 39th floor. We are accessible by public transportation (Bonaventure station / Downtown RTL Terminus / REM Central Station) and indoor parking is also available.

We are looking for a Websphere DB2 Specialist.As a member of the M3C team, and under the supervision of the Director, your responsibilities will be carried out on multiple, concurrent projects, involving several activities to expand and enhance our customers capabilities.Your contributions and responsibilities could include:

• Act as the expert on DB2 & Websphere and assist in the deployment & support IBM middleware installations at our clients;
• Contribute to the technical design and architecture planning for IBM middleware in support of innovative digital transformation projects;
• Monitor and resolve performance issues with IBM middleware;
• Support pre-sales activities (environment scaling, presentations/demos, PoCs, etc.);
• Install, configure and support WAS ND and DB2 on various environments (AIX, RHEL, Windows);
• Configure DB2 in an enterprise environment i.e., DB2 high availability HA and DR (nodes and clusters);
• Manage WAS environments (WAS ND / Open Liberty);
• Manage the migration using tools such as Q replication.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role. Hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering and supporting IBM DB2 and Websphere Application Server environments.
• Bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent;
• Experience with the installation, configuration and support of DB2 on AIX, RHEL, Windows on-prem.
• Experience with the configuration and support of DB2 in enterprise environment i.e., DB2 high availability DR (nodes & clusters).
• Experience with database migrations, handling of migration using tools such as Q replication.
• Experience with the installation, configuration of WAS ND on AIX, RHEL, Windows on-prem.
• Experience with the management and support of WAS environments (WAS ND /Open Liberty).
• In-depth understanding of storage, networking, security and performance optimization concepts.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Knowledge and experience with any of the following:
  • Cloud native concepts and open-source technologies (containers and Kubernetes)
  • Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, Terraform, DevSecOps.
  • Application Performance Management (APM).
