Job Description

We encourage all qualified persons who share our values and want to contribute to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace to apply.Working with the Supply Chain and Logistics (SCL) Supervisor, the Supply Chain and Logistics Responder will be responsible for various activities surrounding the management and transportation of SCL resources.In this role, you will:Responsibility 1. Assist with SCL resources, materials, supplies and equipment required for the operation

  • Assess resource requirements as assigned, ensuring the appropriate SCL processes are followed.
  • Follow procurement standard procedures as required and in accordance to the CRC Procurement Policy, the Procedures Manual and the CRC Contract and Signing Authority (CASA) levels.
  • Assist with the demobilization and repatriation of supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in operational briefings and debriefings with the Logistics team during a response.
Responsibility 2. Carry out inventory, warehousing and stocks management requirements
  • Ensure adequate stock is available when opening site, maintain appropriate level of stock during response and complete a close of operation inventory/reconciliation.
  • Observe routine precautions while handling of goods, materials and equipment (use of required personal protective equipment, hand hygiene, etc).
  • Maintain an accurate inventory, provide daily stats or any other data required by the operation.
  • Coordinate with logistics service providers to track, receive, store and ship goods making note of any discrepancies or damage.
Responsibility 3. Assist with transport required to support the operation
  • Support the transportation service unit.
  • Monitor safety considerations for vehicles, inspections, record maintenance.
  • Support the dispatch and tracking of CRC and rental vehicles.
  • Participate in the shipping of goods and transfers between sites locations, including driving people and inventory to and from sites.
  • Assist with the demobilization of the fleet.
Responsibility 4. Planning and preparedness
  • Participate in SCL team member orientation and training.
  • Assist in sourcing suppliers, creating new agreements for goods and services needed for operations and updating the contact information in the suppliers tracking sheet.
  • Contribute to ensuring response supplies are properly stocked, available and conducts inventory reviews as required.
  • What we are looking for:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field and or a minimum of one year of work-related experience in logistics, procurement and/or supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry skills.
  • Ability to deliver services in English.
  • Ability to lift and carry goods weighing up to 23 kg (50lbs) or assist in carrying goods weighing up to 36 kg (80lbs).
  • Ability to climb stairs, as well as transition frequently in and out of a vehicle.
What we are looking for:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field and or a minimum of one year of work-related experience in logistics, procurement and/or supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry skills.
  • Ability to deliver services in English.
  • Ability to lift and carry goods weighing up to 23 kg (50lbs) or assist in carrying goods weighing up to 36 kg (80lbs).

Working conditions:
  • This position requires a valid Drivers License and a satisfactory Drivers Abstract.
  • Potential for responding in difficult, unstable and uncomfortable conditions (noise, smoke, humidity, vulnerable clients). These stressful rapidly changing environments with limited information to make decisions have the potential to affect the physical and psychological state of the responders on site.
  • Potential for basic or hardship living conditions/accommodations.
  • The incumbent may need to stand for several hours and respond during non-traditional hours (i.e. late night or weekends).
  • Ability to respond in local community (3 days minimum) and outside of their community (10 days minimum).
  • Ability to be on-call when scheduled, as required.
  • Personal protective equipment will be supplied, as required.
