Build the future.We’re #hiring at DSM for:Construction SupervisorLocation: Mulgrave, NSWhat You’ll Do:To contribute to the safe design, operation, optimization and improvement of production plants by providing broad and in-depth engineering expertise, acting as a troubleshooter, and executing feasibility studies and projects.We bring:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages construction activities for Mulgrave facility’s capital projects
  • Supervises and oversees all site contractors; their safety, quality, project schedules and budgets
  • Monitors and tracks contractors work performance respective to contract requirements; conducts final inspections, prepares punch lists, and collects documentation for closing out of contracts
  • Plays key role in in plant capital construction budgets and forecasts for the site; reports project status to Site Leadership and maintains an accurate construction schedule
  • Liases with Improve Plant (IP) Department to ensure construction projects are executed in a SHE-positive manner, with quality, budget, and schedule being adhered to all the while meeting the customer requirements
You bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline such as Civil or Mechanical; Construction Management, or technical diploma with equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
  • 5+ years work experience in project execution
  • High level of proficiency in MS applications, specifically Excel; SAP
  • Understanding of construction projects and project management principles, including but not limited to the plans and specifications, restrictions and right of ways, permits, test procedures, schedules, shop drawings, utility locations and information
  • Knowledge of provincial standards and regulations related to construction and industrial safety
  • Knowledge of work permitting procedures and industrial risk management practices including Field Level Risk Assessment and Job Safety Assessments
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to lead and influence others; anticipates and overcomes obstacles to ensure project delivery
  • Skilled communicator with high attention to detail.
