Job Description

IT Coordinator (Full-time, Permanent)At the Atlantic Association of CBDCs, our success is rooted in making a difference for small business and community economic development in rural communities.Join our team and be part of an organization that adds value to our communities, cares about its staff, and creates a supportive workplace.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the IT Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining information technology systems and networks. The IT Coordinator ensures IT service continuity as well as infrastructure improvements and growth.This key role operates in a cross-functional team environment and collaborates with internal staff and external contacts; both on a technical and administrative level. Working closely with the MIS committee, the 45 CBDCs and association offices across Atlantic Canada, and with third-party service providers, the IT Coordinator ensures efficient and timely delivery of technology services to the CBDC network.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Research, evaluate, and select appropriate technology solutions
  • Identify leading edge technologies and best practices to be implemented throughout the organization
  • Be the primary point of contact for IT vendors
  • Liaise with vendors to handle change requests, rollouts, implementations, or issues on an ad hoc basis
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of IT projects
  • Plan and monitor IT budget
  • Purchase, monitor and adjust software licenses
  • Reconcile vendor accounts
  • Analyze and manage risk
  • Participate in business continuity management
  • Collaborate with internal teams to determine security needs
  • Monitor networks to ensure maximum up time
  • Supervise IT Navigator position and monitor help desk metrics to ensure issues are being resolved in a timely manner
  • Identify IT related training needs and organize training delivery for the entire organization
  • Produce ad hoc management reports
  • Coordinate other technical services (ex., AV, simultaneous interpretation)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ (preferred but not required)
EXPERIENCE
  • Five or more years related/transferable IT and management experience supporting a small or medium size organization
  • Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Microsoft Windows Servers in a Windows Azure Active Directory environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS
  • Sound understanding of fundamentals and best practices relative to IT Security
  • Strong understanding of technology policies and governance
  • Basic project management skills (managing tasks, resources, scope, and budget, identifying and mitigating risks)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (technical and nontechnical)
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in both official languages (an asset)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Physically fit and able to lift and manipulate server and desktop equipment
  • The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel and have a valid driver’s license (driver’s abstract will be required)
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • The regular work week is 35 hours, although flexibility in work hours including occasional nights and weekends may be required (especially when travelling).
  • Some travel to various sites within Atlantic Canada as needed.
COMPENSATION (Salary and Benefits)
  • The salary band for this full-time permanent position is $72,930 to $85,800 depending on the qualifications, designations, and experience of the applicant
  • This position is eligible for a health spending account
