Build the future.We’re hiring forOperational Excellence Manager (Continuous Improvement Site Facilitator)Location: Mulgrave, Nova Scotia-CanadaAre you passionate about influencing others to Identify inefficiencies, come up with solutions and generate maximum benefits for a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Nova ScotiaThe facility in Mulgrave, NS is the world leader in omega3 manufacturing. It is a growing facility in which a variety of products for pharma, food, and the dietary supplements industry is produced, starting from crude fish oil as a raw material.Like DSM, the site takes its environmental impact very seriously. All of our heat is generated from 100% renewable fuel sources. In addition, all of the byproducts are valorized locally (composting, biogas production) and excess biofuel is sold as a renewable fuel source. Are you up for the challengeWe bring:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy DSM Integral Continuous Improvement to all functional groups within the plant
  • Present and communicate to varied audiences, including operators, corporate continuous improvement partners and executive management
  • Motivate facility personnel through encouragement, leading by example and discipline
  • Identify and manage risks/stakeholders for site CI deployment
  • Track site-wide deployment progress and present findings to leadership team
  • Collaborate on regional CI activities
  • Display and promote positive safety behaviors at all times ; Work in a SHE responsible manner and report all incidents
You bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or other scientific discipline preferred
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience; Chemical Process Industry preferred
  • Six Sigma training, a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Lean problem solving, root cause and waste reducing tools/processes/concepts
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Excellence Work Processes
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong team player with ability to lead others to/through change
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills
